Role Description
This is a part-time remote role for a Chemical Engineer potentially leading to full time hybrid role at Lunexus Space. As a Chemical Engineer, you will be responsible for performing analysis and research, developing laboratory procedures, and implementing process engineering principles. You will work collaboratively with the team to design industrial hardware, ensure the safety and efficiency of our operations. Additionally, you will generate proposals and manage research, and communicate findings to Lunexus team and contribute to the overall growth and success of the company.
Qualifications
- Design, Analytical and Laboratory Skills
- Experience in the Chemical Industry, specialization in silicon purification chemistry and semiconductor processing strongly preferred
- Grad students/postdocs welcome!
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of plasma physics and safety considerations for combustible gas a plus
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Passion for sustainable practices and materials is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
Salary
- $30-100k

Must Have
- Bachelor Degree or Higher in Chem Engineering with reactor design and mass energy balance
- Passion for space development
- Highly creative and autonomous
- US Citizen / ITAR Compliance
Nice to have
- Plasma physics / physical chemistry and deposition experience
- Silicon semiconductor experience
- Advanced degree
- Strong analytical skills
