Feedstock Materials

Lunexus Space is preparing hardware for recycling orbital debris in space.  This is our prospective initial lineup of products, with availability targeted. for 2031. If you have ideas about how you'd like this material delivered, please discuss with us.

Silane (SiH4)

Silane is the preferred precursor for silicon deposition.

It is also hypergolic (ignites spontaneously) with oxygen and can be used as an in space propellant.

Lunexus intends to manufacture silane by recycling space debris photovoltaics.

Ammonia (NH3)

Ammonia is a ubiquitous coolant used in spacecraft, and a useful reactant for chemical processing.

Lunexus is developing a solution for recovering ammonia from old satellites.

Mixed Powdered Silicates and Polymers

Lunexus will be producing copious amounts of intermediate pulverized powder products, as part of our processing. We are developing a methodology for storing this material in bags.

This granular material is useful as a filler material and in bag form directly useful as radiation and micrometeoroid shielding.

Metal Wire

Lunexus is exploring production of metal wire product (Al6061 and 7075, Ti-6Al-4V, Inconel, and stainless steel) produced from orbital debris.
